NCC talk:Membership contract
From Foodclub
I, _____________________________________________________ , (hereinafter, “Member”) for the sum of ten dollars ($10), purchase membership in Nourishing Connections Food Club (hereinafter, “NCFC”).
- Do we want to use the word purchase in the first paragraph? suggestions?
- hello
Member acknowledges that s/he is completely responsible for any damages to anyone, including but not limited to children, friends, family acquaintances, or individuals brought by the Member
- This means for example if a member brakes a lamp at the host house, they pay for it. If their children are running around and brake a lamp, they pay for it.
- Suggested change to make it more clear... ????
Member acknowledges and agrees that should NCFC and any individual in NCFC or anyone acting on their behalf be required to incur attorney's fees and costs to enforce this agreement, that the Member in connection with the action agrees to indemnify and hold them harmless for all such fees and costs.
- What we mean is whoever causes us to get an attorney for whatever reason, they pay the attorney's fees. Also, if a member gets an attorney, they will be responsible for the fees.
Other comments
- Suggestion ".. for any and all such fees and costs incurred by member."
- List contribution requirements in the membership contract. Maybe list $10 is non-refundable as well. A broader issue is what goes where - the contract vs. the responsibilities.
