Separate by item - The YES (replace DO with YES) buttons allow you to break an item apart into separate rows for each single qty of the item. This would be useful in situations such as a part of the order being out-of-stock, or part of it being returned for refund, or some qtys of the item having different prices than others.

Actual price - read from the database at the time that the invoice processing page is displayed - provided that invoice prices have not previously been saved.

Expected price - The prices which was in the database at the time that the user ordered the item.  If the user was allowed to do manual input, which most are not, it is the price that they entered.
Apply tax checkbox - If any items need sales tax added, enter a percent in the "Sales tax rate" entry field and check the Apply tax box for items where sales tax should apply. Leave blank if no items have sales tax.  .  ?:??  Bottle tax should be added to the item it applies to, but only as much tax as applies to a qty of 1 of this item.

Custom qty checkbox - to change the Qty just for invoices. It is allowed only for items ordered by exactly one person, since for more than one person it cannot know how much each person got. If you need to use a custom qty for an item ordered by more than one person, go back and edit the Qty of the item on each person's order form, via Group order.
Returned for refund checkbox - if checked, a refund will automatically appear on the appropriate invididual invoices.

Out of stock checkbox - check if an item did not come in, due to being out-of-stock or an error with the order.  If check the item will automatically be marked out of stock on indivudual invoices, and the appropriate price adjustment will be made.

Options at the bottom of the page

Reread prices from the product database for unfilled price fields - useful if you you have preformed invoice processing and then allowed someone to add a last minute item. If you do not reread prices, the newly added item will show up with a price of zero.

Reread all prices from the product database - useful if the database has been updated since you have entered invoice processing.

Save data entered and show invoices - does Save data entered and then computes invoices using the newly saved data.

Save data entered - Saves any changes and remains on current page.  It is easy to loose your changes by jumping to another page without hitting save data entered.

Suggested shopping cart interface:

Source home | Order whole| Order splits | Your order(x) } Group order(x) | Invoices | Archives

-- where x = number of items in order

-- Is there any way "your order" can include filled splits? and also unfilled splits?

Goal: To offer suggestions to improve the fooclub.org user interface.

The idea is to pick your favorite ordering web sites and say what you like and don't like about them. You can also offer specific comments about the foodclub.org system. We are planning on having a telecon to discuss the comments. Hopefully foodclub.org will be a conglomeration of our favorites.

Be sure to sign your comments with the "signature" which appears at the top in "edit" mode

It's interesting to read how they handle splits --Sally Zimmermann 03:21, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Can instantly see that an item got added to my cart.  (I see the cart count being incremented by one.)   Other sites show an abbreviated cart on the order page, so you see your actual item being added.  That is slightly better, but a trade off with space issues.--Sally Zimmermann 15:58, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

The information on the size of your cart is in the header.  That means that if a user is on the source home page, they will know how many items are in their cart.  I'm wondering what can ultimately be done for the splits summary.--Sally Zimmermann 15:58, 25 November 2009 (UTC)

Can substitue "favorites" for wish list and it's a nice model of how our system could work. --Sally Zimmermann 03:01, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Really like the arrangement and functionality of the search and category options. --Sally Zimmermann 03:01, 26 November 2009 (UTC)

Foodclub.org general comments
Pros Cons
In general it works for me, I am very impressed with what has been put together.  I really appreciate the hard work and time that has been put into developing the system.  Thanks Adi and All.         -Cindy Snow Would it be possible to put a notation on the homepage when a source is open for ordering.  Perhaps like a red star that comes up next to the source on the homepage when the product coordinator opens the source.  Then when it closes the star goes away.  I don't know if this is possible or would make more work for the product coordinators (I don't want to do that), but it sure would be helpful to see what is open for ordering when I log onto the site.   Thanks,  Cindy Snow

Along with the lines above, if the system could pull together a statement of which souces I should pick up at a given delivery, that would be great.   And if it could automatically e-mail me this the day before delivery, it would be great.

Foodclub.org source home
Pros Cons

This has hard coded links for database names for each drop site.  NCFC ultimately wants to maintain one home page for all of it's drops.  Even when the capability is there to do this, it still won't work for the home page because of these hard coded links.  I think it will have to use variables instead of hard coded names --Sally Zimmermann 17:45, 27 November 2009 (UTC)

MyRealFoods has a "NEWS" section on the home page.  This would be great for posting important announcements to the group. Similiarly, MyMathLab has an "announcements" section were important notices can be placed.  Being able to put them in color helps to make sure they are read--Sally Zimmermann 01:19, 4 December 2009 (UTC).

What about taking some of the features of the virtual store foodclub and giving them to our foodclub?  e.g. pictures  --Sally Zimmermann 01:44, 4 December 2009 (UTC)
