Input for Weekly Updates
In hopes of making the weekly updates more manageable and less time consuming, the Frederick Weekly Update Notes Google Document has been created. The hope is that this document is shared among members who have regular announcements to make to the entire group.
Currently, the Frederick Weekly Update Notes Google Document is shared among the following members:
- Ashley Campbell - overall foodclub updates
- Sarah Frost - schedule updates, including openings, closings, and drop details
- Julie Clark - volunteering
- Martina Duncan - sorting
- Krista Cappelletti - Pickup Closer
- Ann Snyder - Pickup Opener
- Pickup Opener
- Pickup Closer #2
Every Thursday, all members listed above should have their input included in the Frederick Weekly Update Notes Google Document so that the weekly update to be sent out to the group.
The co-leads will send out a reminder email for inputs each Wednesday.
Members listed above will add their ‘bullets’ for their respective areas.
Things that might be communicated be each area:
Volunteering Announcements
- Thank yous to each member that volunteered for a role.
- Announcements of roles that need filled.
- Announcements of our volunteer commitment, as a reminder to members, or if we are finding that members are not volunteering as required by our club guidelines.
- etc...
Sorting Announcements
- Listing of drops that still need sorters
- Thank yous to the previous drop sorters
- Indicate the sorters for the upcoming drop.
- Notify the group what drops still need sorters
- If a sorter cancels, request (last minute) help for the upcoming drop.
- Sorting reminders of guidelines/rules when needed
- Addressing any concerns you may have with members not volunteering to help sort.
Pickup Announcements
- Address any issues that might be creeping up during the pickup.
- Pickup reminders, guidelines, etc...
Schedule Updates
- Provide openings, closings, and drop details

- Maybe we still haven’t met our min
